Thesis Statement

On April 15, 1947, the brave Jackie Robinson broke the barrier of color by joining the Brooklyn Dodgers and going into the MLB which had been segragated for more than 50 years. This paved the way for all African Americans in the United States and changed the course of history as we know it, in sports and Civil Rights.
